The membership year runs from July 1 through June 30. Grace period 30 days. Applications received after March 1 will be applied to the next membership year unless otherwise requested. Dues are not prorated. A membership comprises up to four people at the same address. Please include additional names, at the same mailing address when you check out (special instructions).

  • You do not need to have a PayPal account. When you click Add to Cart, you will be given two options, namely:
    • PayPal Checkout
    • Check Out (Pay without a PayPal account)
 
  • If you want to create a PayPal account, click on the logo to get started with PayPal. (If you click it, you will be leaving the GSWC website.)

Are you locked out? Membership expires on June 30. After the 30-day grace period, you cannot sign in without joining again.

  • Support our library of over 2,000 books and manuscripts, vital records, cemetery records and census records as well as microfilm and microfiche. (Our focus is records of Washtenaw and surrounding counties but we have books and records of national and international interest as well.)
  • Submit a query about *any* ancestor to the Family History Capers. (Non-members can submit only Washtenaw County ancestors.)
  • Enter surnames from your tree into the Surnames database. Be sure to include helpful details such as place, date, alternate spellings, and notes and comments.
  • Submit ancestor charts for surname indexing in the Family History Capers.
  • Be part of the solution. Don't just do genealogy, promote it! Join a committee or help with a project. Volunteer page
