Purpose
The purpose of the Ireland and UK Special Interest Group (SIG) is to provide resources and support as we work together to help all involved uncover more about their Irish and British Isles ancestors. This SIG focuses on Ireland and the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).  Members with roots tracing back to any of these countries are encouraged to participate. We will hold regular meetings – likely a hybrid of in-person and Zoom.

This SIG will be led by Bill O’Reilly (71% Irish / 29% Scottish). Bill is the former President of the Irish Genealogical Society of Michigan and is the Clan Commissioner of Michigan for Clan MacAulay of Scotland (and their past Clan Organiser). If you are interested in this group or have any questions, please contact Bill O’Reilly at IrelandUKSIG@washtenawgenealogy.org. Bill will follow up with those responding to set a schedule for meetings. Slàinte!
  • Meeting place: Virtual Meetings until further notice,
  • Meeting time: Will be determined by the initial responses and then set on a regular basus. When set, it will be shown on our event calendar
